    What primers would you recommend?

I'm putting together my birthday order at Midwayusa.com and wondered what your recommendation(s) would be for primers ans powder for both small and large rifle and pistol.

    I reload for:

    Pistol Calibers
    .38 125 & 158 grain
    .357mag 125 & 158 grain
    380ACP 95 grain
    9mm Luger 115 & 124 grain
    45ACP 230 grain
    44mag 240 grain

Reloading CCI, Federal, Remingron and Magtech once fired brass

    Rifle Calibers
    .223/5.56 55 grain
    .308/7.62 150/165 grain
    .30-06 150/165 grain

Reloading Federal, Remington and Winchester. Some Winchester & Federal Brass is Lake City NATO Stamped.

    Thanks

I only use one brand, CCI 200 LR primers. I've loaded thousands of rounds and not a single failure to fire. The other brands I'm sure are fine but I have no experience with them.

CCI is my favorite. Winchesters are pretty nice as well.

I've had great luck with Winchester primers, that's all I ever use. Of course I always use Winchester brass as well, no mixed brass.
IMO, It makes a difference whether you believe it or not.

I use CCI small pistol, no problems ever. Keep in mind that you will be paying exorbitant HazMat shipping, it's usually cheapest to buy your powder and primers locally, if possible.

            The one that works.

I;ve loaded CCI, Win, Fed, Wolf, Magtech... they've all worked but I perfer CCI because its more accessable to buy and almost always cheaper then the other leading brands.

I always got my Winchester primers at the Del Mar Gun Show. Never had any problem with them. Now I get my powder, primers from Powder Valley. Their prices are better than Midway.

                    Thanks to everyone so far.

I guess CCI is the primer most would choose. Interesting that no one mentioned Federal?

My Dillon XL-650 hates Federal primers, the cup is to soft.

In my experience, out of the first three, Federal are the cheapest, then Win, and CCI.

Whatever is cheapest. I don't like federal since the boxes are so large and take up too much space
