    My First Reloads

I just finished my first 20 reloads tonight.
    .308 Nossler e-tip 150gr (for hunting)
    H4895 - 42.5gr
    Winchester Brass & Primers

I already regret my bullet choice because they are kind of pricey for my first reloading experience but at this point, all the stuff I have had to get just to get started, the 28 bucks for a box of 50 is a fraction of the initial investment. So much for saving money.

Either way, I am under-loading the rounds per all the loading recommendations to get a feel for the process. I am nervous but excited to shoot them.

Here is my first impression of reloading.
    1. A buddy of mine recommended a lee hand press for living room case prep this is a great way to work through case sizing and easy stuff (the reloading 101 doesn't mention using a hand press)

    2. The slowest part even with a hand press is the powder measuring. My next priority is a power dispensers that drops out the measured amounts instead of measuring each one by hand.

    3. Where the hell are all the "good" reloading supplies CCI BR2 primers, Federal 210 primers, varget powder etc. Couldnt even get that stuff at the costa mesa gun show

I'll post my shooting experience (if i dont blow myself up)

A Lee hand press is how I got started in reloading. I still have the press though it's not used anymore. Loaded thousands of rounds with no problem. I would not worry much with your initial bullet selection. Just lesson learned.

Take your time in measuring the powder. You are just starting. Heck first time around it took me over an hour just to load 50 rounds of .38 spl. 158 grain lead SWC after the case has been prepped. Speed and certain techinque will come in time.

You may have to look in the internet for reloading supplies. Key is buying in bulk in regards to primers and powder due to hazmat fee.

Golden West Brass is excellent if you're looking to make some .308 150gr FMJ

I'm not sure about the primers, but Miwall had Varget at the Costa Mesa show. I've been to the Del Mar show on a sunday when they've run out, but they had it at one point. Key is to show up on Saturday, early, just in case....

Every time I've been to the Bass Pro Shop in Manteca, they've had Varget on hand... you might want to check out the one in Rancho Cucamonga

Thanks for the Tip Boots, I tried Rancho and they didn't have it. The guy even said that when they get it in, it goes really fast.

Thanks for the tips guys, definitely checking the links you gave for brass and other supplies.
