Southern California reloading components?

Where's the best place to buy components in SoCal for handgun or rifle? I remember going to Bowers in LA when I was loading shotgun shells years ago (not sure if they're even open still) and it was the best for prices and supply.
Just getting back into it and I know there has to be a better place than Turners?

Not in LA, but the place I'd go to in SoCal if I need reloading components in a pinch would be Fowler's Gun Room and The Stockade.

Ok, you're basically in my area.

There isn't really a place in Corona/Riverside that I would recommend for reloading supplies. If it's an emergency, I'll go to Centerfire Firearms or Turners. For me, an emergency is I have a match in a couple days and I'm out of a specific powder for my match load. But an emergency rarely ever happens -- last time I had this happen was 2 years ago when I needed some 30cal 175gr Sierra Match Kings for an informal prone long range match.

I buy bits and pieces when I see them, but mainly mail order and gunshow prices are best--seen some decent used stuff from time to time.

I'll buy a bag of 100 locally to see how it shoots and feeds when I have some money in my pocket.

Fowler's and the Stockade used to be OK, and pretty much still are except for prices. I use mail order almost exclusively now. For powder and primers set up a group buy for your local area. Prices aren't all that good with shipping and all, but it beats getting out in SoKal traffic just to find out they really didn't have what you asked for on the phone.

Midway and Powder Valley online, the cost of travel and wasted time is worth the shipping, plus no sales tax.

Fowler's and The Stockade have a decent price on 1lb cannisters (usually $21 per lb). That is comparable to the gun show ($20 per lb) and is a great price if it's an emergency and you need powder for a match.

The thing about Fowler's and The Stockade is also their selection. They carry pretty much everything to cover your needs.

midway and Graff and sons. Use graff and sons for powder, creedmore sports for bullets and midway for equitment.

I love Creedmoor and a buy pretty much all my High Power equipment from them, but there are better buys for bullets than Creedmoor.

If you look at Powder Valley, they have excellent prices on competition/match grade rifle bullets and their Lapua brass prices are also good. Oh, and they sell powder, too (which is where I get my powder).

That place is worst than Fowlers. Online with group buys is the only way to go, if your in So Cal.

Anybody up for a group buy? I see that Powder Valley has Ramshot TAC for 77.95 for a 8lb jug. I am in for 16lbs. of TAC. I guess it's on sale for a limited time. I may need some primers also.

I'm up for one. I was going to get 5000 of the large pistol primers. Likely some other stuff as well.

Bowers moved out of LA about 15 years ago. The location was getting to rough even if you had a CCW. They relocated to OC but the competion from places like B&E, B&B and Turners was to much. They only lasted a few years and went out of business. The Stockade and Fowlers have the best selection for reloading in OC.
