You can go to the Dillon website and checkout the schematics for their machines.

It looks like it might also be missing some linkage for the powder drop.

Awww crap.. So for about $200 this is a no go, I'm assuming.

The Priming system is not critical. Many like I prime by hand and not on a progressive. I do see it is also missing the connecting rod for the powder measure.

The priming system is almost $100 by itself. I don't see the primer catching cup either.

All of the missing parts are available on the Dillon web site, along with the full schematics to figure out what's missing. From what I've heard, Dillon is also really great about helping people identify and replace missing parts on old machines (don't know from personal experience, I've got a 550 but have never had a problem or needed a replacement part).

From a quick scan of the parts, it looks like $75-$125 for the primer system and $10-$15 for the powder failsafe rod.

I bet that if you email those pics to Dillon, they can give you a quote and send the required parts.

It's definitely an easy fix. I remove my primer system to clean it every few hundred rounds. It only takes me about 2 minutes to remove it and then put it back on. The failsafe rod just snaps into it's slot, no tools required.

Definitely a good deal for $200, I'd go for it!

I'm going to call Dillon tomorrow and talk to them about it. Their customer service reps are nuts.. They have more patience and are more helpful than anyone I've ever spoken to. Hard to find service like that these days, thats for sure.

You couldnt give me a 550 for free.

It does not auto rotate the shell plate to the next station. If you pull the handle and something gets stuck half way (happens often) the next time you pull the handle you will throw a double charge.

Get a NEW 650 instead and never look back. Its impossible to NEVER make a mistake thats why I like the 650 with powder alarm and auto rotate. Dillon was kind enough to let me upgrade after I told them what happened. Dillon is the best.

One mistake in 22 years and I could have lost my hands.

                            I don't think it's a very good deal.
Offer $150 for it based on the cost of the parts to make it complete.

I bought a complete 550 with both primer pickup tubes, both primer feed tubes, both primer slides, loaded cartridge bin and bracket, 9mm dillon dies and all other small parts as well as the manual for $225 about 2 years ago at the ontario gun show.

It does not look like a 550 to me. It looks more like a 450.

Yep, some people should not reload. This goes for ANYONE who wants to blame their equipment for their mistake. That's the same bad logic that antis use when they blame firearms for the actions of those who use them improperly. I own both a 550 and a 650 and, I like the 550 more for many reasons. One of which is the lack of auto indexing. Also, you can use a powder check on a 550.
