Time to start ordering your reloading presses, folks

Yes, this is a good reason for all shooters in CA to learn how to reload your own ammo. Start stocking up on not just ammo, but reloading components, and BUY THAT PRESS!

If every shooter had something like a Lee Classic Turret Press (very affordable and very good), that would defeat AB 962 very handily. Seriously, folks, do as I did, learn how to reload and get set up for it.

First you assume that the out of state retailers will send ammunition compenents. They have already shown a desire to ignore CA altogether. Why start now.

Second - you assume you could get those reloading compenents. Even with the limited number of reloaders now, primers and other components are scarce at best. If we "ALL" started reloading, no one would be able to get all the compenents in enough quantity to justify the cost of the equipment.

Our best hope is that the out of state retailers will allow sales to FFL's who could act as middlemen for us.

Anyone knows what's happening with the legal challenge that's been in preparation for a while now? Last I heard, a suit will be filed to argue AB 962 is preempted by a federal statute?

By the way, Cabela is one of my favorite vendors. Can't believe they're gonna stop even rifle ammo shipment. As for Walmart, I went to a local Walmart last night, and it was a sea of ammo. What a beautiful sight to behold. Breaks my heart to expect those same cabinets to be totally empty come next year.

I've been contacting many online ammo vendor's and here's what I have so far:
Ammunition To Go -- http://www.ammunitiontogo.com -- "We will continue to ship to CA"

Basically the e-mail I've been sending briefly talks about AB962, gives some links, and then asks if they will still be shipping pistol ammo.

Anyway, It would be nice to ultimately end up with a list of vendor's that will still ship rifle ammo.

My FFL said he would take transfer of any ammunition for a five to ten dollar fee. Just ask your local FFL guy most of them will probably help you out.

This is exactly what the drafters of AB962 hoped.

The law is just stupid because they act like bg can't get ammo if we stop selling ammo to the public... Then they also act like all criminnals are Internet idiots who don't know how to read or serf the net....they will get it underground and they will reload if have to.

What FFL was that? I've spoken to a couple and they are willing to buy you a case of something if you pay their in store price which I cannot justify doing.

                        Wrong. On all counts.

No one is "ignoring" Ca, just complying with the law. (though including rifle ammo is just ignorant and it IS a bad law
                        )

There are many thousands of reloaders, components are relativley easy to find. Relax, they'll make more

Now, that's just funny. If they wanted to sell ammunition don't you think they'd already be doing it?

Lighten up on the scary talk and get into reloading......................

depend on how much ammo you order.
