Reloading inside my man cave

I challenge you to take a scrap piece of carpet, pour a tablespoon of smokeless powder on it, rub it in and TRY to get it to light with a match or a lighter, let alone sparks.
Then try to light another piece of the same carpet but without any powder for comparison.
Take video of this and post your results.

= Better safe than sorry. Only going by what the older & wiser have told me and I dont question their experience/knowledge. But, their time reloading was spent with "many" different types of powder(s). Never mentioned "smokeless" in what I posted or powder type. I'm not posting to be a end all or know it all, I am not. OP mentioned reloading in a room in his house and I'm mentioning what I have been told. Again, I rather be Safe than Sorry = I like my place.

btw: I wouldnt burn carpet even is someone paid me. The fumes from many carpets when burned are composed of "CYANIDE" gasses.

Sometimes it's better to actually question the norm because the norm is not always the most accurate information.
One could argue that it's unsafe to vacum up powder because the sparks from the vacum's motor are more likely to light it than just leaving it there in the carpet.

I would recommend the garage. I tend to make a mess sometimes, pulling bullets or trimming brass can get messy. I recently added a second AC to the house so when that was going in I had them install registers in the garage so it is temperature controlled as the house.

I recently had to pull about 300 rounds of .41 magnum because of high primers. (Not loaded by me) There was powder everywhere, even found it in my hair.

Was in a hurry! I used one of those RCBS hammer style pullers, I thought it was going to shatter the first time I tried using it. I had it laying around in case I needed to pull one or two rounds not 300!

I have pulled 100 or so 9mm once with a Dillon Puller and did not manage to get powder anywhere but on my desk and in the jar I was using

In the living room of my one bedroom apt. Tumble & pull bullets & store extra primers ammo at parents. I want to get one of those dividers up to cover the bench but it is so damn sexxy. About the carpet lowes sales a roll of charcol color carpet for $20 you cut the size you want and protect your carpet & it is the same color as the powder.

That is one Ultra Portable setup you have there! You could take that almost anywhere.
