Stick with WWB, Blazer (brass or Al), or maybe S&B and you will be fine.
Ordering online works great as long as someone is around to receive your package or you don't mind going to the depot to pick it up.

Winchester 115gr 9mm white box at Wal*Mart is just under $15.00 per 100 for the range. I'd avoid Wolf steel-case ammo. I had to replace an extractor on my .40S&W Baby Eagle because of it. For home defense I'd suggest the 100gr 9mm Cor Bob PowR'Ball.

They said "no." I said, "exactly, now please tell me if any of the surrounding Wal-Marts sell ammo for real guns."

Seek and you shall find brother...

Only Walmarts in Milpitas, Mountain View, and Gilroy carry ammo. All other Bay Area Walmarts carries none.

Believe me, I just got 10 boxes for CCI Blazer from Milpitas. Don't worry, I left some for you. They actually re-stocked this morning so they have plenty of WWB VPs, and Remington UMC Mega Packs.

I shot a couple cases of the 9mm Blazer aluminum through a 34 last year and it was pretty warm. When I chrono'ed it, it came in right around 1200 fps. It was snappy but accurate and I never had a failure to fire or extract. I don't recall cleaning the gun I was using except maybe before the Glock match I shot. I bought it direct from buyammo.com and it only took a couple days to ship it from their wherehouse in OR. Shipping was reasonable.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I listened to aca72 and went to the milpitas Wal-Mart. I picked up 4 boxes of CCI Blazer. I sure hope Wal-Mart keeps them in stock. Great price.

                Thanks for the compliment.

Yup! I do agree with you on Miwall's quality on their own factory or reloaded ammo.

However, going to the gunshow at CP adds additional costs. Buying tons of ammo would somehow negate the costs but for the rest of us small volume consumers, Walmart and/or online works great.
