I use Wolf primers. About 1100 LR so far and no problems noticed. I like them so much that I put all my Winchester primers in deep storage. My only dislike with wolf primers is with the packaging sleeves they some in. Just find them flimsy and they tape them shut..

Of course "snob" comment was nothing personal, it's just alot of people put down wolf without trying them. If you are a noob to reloading, I would suggest to start on the less expensive side of things until you get the hang of things and figure out what works and what does not.

I've got both Wolf and Federal Match large rifle primers. I can load up some identical 30-06 rounds and provide a range report, comparing the two primers.

I probably won't be able to get to the range until this weekend.

I suspect there won't be much of a difference.

I loaded some 30-06 mil surplus brass with 58gr of imr 4831,cci lr primer & 150gr nosler bullets from 100 yard bench using my bedded scoped sako 06 finnbear hunting rifle put 5 shots in less than 7/16 inch that's accurate enough for hunting. A friend went to the same GS with his Sako 300wm for bedding and tuning first 3 shots from 100 yard bench was a group .308.The rifles the GS built were all extremely accurate, requests came in from police depts in several western states .A man I met in a local hardware store had his rifles repaired by the same GS and while on a Wyoming hunting trip some hunters asked where he was from and when he told them Yucaipa they asked if he knew Elllis as they all had rifles built by him.He passed in 1991.

That's expensive! Powder valley has them for $25.50 per K. Do an order with a reloading friend and split the haz mat and shipping..
