LAX Range Reloads

Has anyone had any problems with the LAX range reloads? Can anyone recommend good reloads for sale in the Socal area? Rather not have a gun blow up one me! Just looking to be able to shoot cheap without investing in reload stuff right now.

I saw them selling at the Glendale Gun Show. Seemed like okay prices.
Ammo Bros makes their own as well, I believe.

I use to shoot the LAX stuff at their indoor range. I dont recall many issues, but did have a few mis-fires. I would say I had 2 "no goes" out of 200 rds. I was new to shooting, and didn't know that was not "normal" That was about 7 years ago? But since then, I have shot their stuff this year, and it shot fine. No problems.

I was standing in line at the Glendale show, and guys were saying some not so good stuff about their reloads. All it takes is one persons bad experience to tarnish a brand, but I would shoot their stuff again.

The 45 caliber bullet is the one that I am always looking for a deal on. I haven't had too much issue with the LAX reloads. A few duds for every couple hundred. I don't find the ammo to be consistent as compared to factory loads (this could be in my head though). I am still new to shooting and I just keep hearing these catastrophic reload stories that makes me so cautious. I am also watching the prices on other rounds as I hope to get a more guns .

Sometimes I hear consistent trash talk about things and then I avoid them. Kind of what I am fishing to find out here. Bottom line... I like shooting... I like my guns... and I want to do it cheaply and safely! Reloads can be cheaper but theoretically can pose more risk when you don't know the source.

Invest in your own gear and do it your self. Straight wall pistol cartridges are easy to learn. Plus the size of the .45 ACP, makes it hard to screw up or double charge.

I miss getting WWB .45 acp at LAX for 11 bucks a box in case price, just 2 years ago! That's why I started reloading.

There is one vendor from the glendale gun show who has great ammo and low prices...you should try them out, they are located in Glendale last time I checked. They also have posts here on calguns

I just talked to a friend who is willing to loan me his 45 equipment. Time to start collecting my brass! In the meantime I will look up these re-loaders. Thanks for the help!

How do you know they are hot? I don't own a chronograph to test... or know of any other way I can test.

Wouldn't that be an unnecessary expense for a re-loader? Why do that?

I don't know why. My friend use to work there and he said the same thing. He'd rather use his own reloads.. I know from the seat of the pants feel.
Recoil and muzzle flash is much more pronounced.

Interesting I will try and compare. I'd rather not use loads other than manufacturer specs for just general plinking.

Looking for more input from anyone that has used this stuff. I bought a few at the Delmar gun show and want to know what you guys think.
