Case preperation necessary?

Definitely read the manual.

One of the guys an older gentleman used to freak newbs or people not into reloading out. He'd pull out some hulls, powder, some wads and some shot along with a tablespoon.

Amazed most would ask "you gonna reload with that?" Asking about the spoon.

He'd look em dead in the face and say "yep, one tablespoon for ducks, two tablespoons for geese." Most would get away as fast they could saying "you're crazy man."

We'd die laughing after they left.

No I do have a manuel...I have two actually But I use them mainly as recipe books

You have two "Manuels", and they cook!!

You may not be loading for an M14, but there is a lot of good info in there that will explain why brass prep might be something worth exploring (even if it is a PITA).

Yeah but where will they be when the Internet goes down. I might check online for information on specific powders being used and results but it's always back to the manual to see what it says for amounts and then working up from the starting load listed for that powder.

I will use some online data but only from powder or bullet manufactures if the load isn't listed in one of my manuals already. Again starting from the starting load and working up.

I don't take pictures of my targets after I'm done with them. I actually just throw them away. (Plus I dont have a digital camera and the camera on my phone SUCKS!) I mainly use my tikka t3 varmint in .308 for hunting but it does give me 1MOA or better if shooting off a rest.

I actually have this pic of a super quick that I shot with some "sloppy loads" I made with my lee classic loader. Once fired brass, one scoop of powder and a 150gr matchking bullet I believe it was (made in under a minute with a rubber mallet ). (My gf had her digital camera and she the pic for memories ). The group is mine, the random shots around the group are hers lol. This day was at burro and it was raining and really cold. I wasn't shooting off of a rest either, just a 9" bipod.

Oh and I guess I will give this case preperation "stuff" a try lol Has anyone had any experience with the Lee zip trim? That looks pretty simple and quick for me to use.
