Using De-Primed Primers

decapping live primers will not make them go off.. you are pushing against the anvil the wrong direction needed for them to go off.....

Shh, you ruined it! I have done 400 or so in one session, it took a few minutes to do on my XL650 with case feeder.

Like I said before just use them for light loads unless the cases look bad then I would run them through a press and decap them.

I deprimed 125 .223 rounds that I did not know the origin of and reused the primers for .30 carbine. All went well. I dumped the powder on the lawn for fertilizer and sold the bullets and tossed the .223 cases in the scrap barrel for recycling. Kind of like the native Americans that used every piece of a buffalo. Nothing goes to waste.

No worries I have done my fair share of .223 only... so far.

But I deprimed and reused them... I never load max so I am thinking no worries at all doing this...

Whatever you do, don't confuse PINKING ammo with PLINKING ammo. Not the same at all.
