I've found gun shows were the worst place to buy anything other then snoop around. First, pay the 11 dollar parking fee, then pay the 20 dollar entry fee then buy the primer/powder/bullets ect at the same price as buying it at a local shop, sometimes you'll get lucky and get them at internet prices, but you've already payed 31 dollars for "shipping" in a sense.

+1 on that.I've found gun shows were the worst place to buy anything other then snoop around. Thought I was the only one that figured that out!

Wow, ok, it looks like I drew the short straw on this one. My apologies, I am local to the Sacramento area. I was under the impression my location was displaying with my handle, apparently not. Either way, to re-articulate my question I was aiming to see if I should bother with online retailers or just hunt locally and what other people are doing.Comment

Gun Shows.........seriously.
I picked up a case of PMC Bronze .223 for $310.00 OTD at the last one in
Fresno. I saw Primers for $40.00 a brick sitting around waiting for buyers as
well.
I can't believe so many folks don't go to Gun Shows. It's like a Flea Market
for Gun Owners, there's always something good if you root around."I kill things for a living, don't make yourself one of them"Comment

I have frequented gun shows in the past, but not since buying my reloading equipment. I will have to keep a peeled eye next time I go. Thanks.Comment

Let your fingers do the walking thru the Yellow Pages. There is a bunch of gunshops in the Sac area. Easy start!Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
