The trick is the polishing compound, don't skimp on the stuff whatever you use. I only tumple for 40 minutes and the cases look new...but they are 45 acp and 9mm

What is the purpose of mineral oil in walnut media?
If you are using "Downy/Bounce Sheets" to help the media flow better, why add mineral oit?
Just curious.

Hi, Raymond --
Mineral spirits. Though I suppose mineral oil might work as a case lube...
They're a cleaning agent. From the Wikipedia page:
According to Wesco, a supplier of solvents and cleaning equipment, mineral spirits "are especially effective in removing oils, greases, carbon, and other material from metal."Last edited by Brasspolisher; 10-31-2009, 5:56 PM. Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
