there's nothing unicorn about this. Unique would do all of them with zero issues.

I though that TrueBlue was supposed to be a cleaner burning alternative to Unique that actually meters

I was thinking of bigger cases like 45win mag, Cassull and the 460S&W.

I forgot that the Rowland was just a 45Super.

In that case, I would be down towards Power Pistol and AA#7 as my 2nd powder choice because you could also hot-rod the 45Colt with those in a Ruger.

Yeah two powders would be better, A universal powder like you siad. W231 Unique and the like then something more suited for the heavier slugs.

If you had a Ruger or similar you could giver the onions with True blue and be around the same as aa7.







But, for my Ruger and heavy slugs I use a much slower powder.


But for pistol loads I have hs6, longshot, power pistol, be-86, 2400, aa5, 800x, cleanshot, bullseye, 296, 11fs, TCM, CFE pistol, hp38. What can I say, I like variety. I haven't had any unique for a few years and I can't see myself buying any for $40-$50 a pound.

My std pressure 45 Colt uses Blue Dot. I have quite a bit left over from lead 12g loading and carbines are maximized with slower powder.

It'll work for your other cal's too.

Don't know anything about the 460 Rowland.

My fart loads for 45 LC uses Trail Boss.

My SWC loads for 45acp uses Win 231.

But I have used just Trail Boss for both, and 231 for both.
