Berdan primer cases can be reloaded, but it is a PITA and the primers are impossible to find.

Stick with Boxer.

well, berdan primers are almost impossible to find. then, I've never been able to successfully deprime one. people say "a wooden dowel and water" that's a pipe dream. I have hundreds and hundreds of Austrian(?) .308 brass that while I'm not throwing them away, I'm surely not reloading them

Used to be that there was a lever tool that punctured and grabbed the edge of the primer, and you levered the primer out against the case head. I never tried it. I've only rarely seen Berdan primers for sale in the US.

In my reloading room, Berdan primed brass gets tossed in the recycling bucket.

To the best of my knowledge, the Lithuanian brass is boxer primed. The ammo had a good reputation also.

What's the diff between the two types of primer?
Client is selling these maybe to my range buddy, however I bought .308 dies and may build andAR10 if black friday prices are peak cheap this year. I asked for samples of ammo for sale
