    Did Dillon make a whoopsie?

I received my 550b back from Dillon Precision after having a refurbishment done. They recommended against getting the 550c upgrade, because it's functionally the same, all they change out is the lower pin and pivot block to allow for the version with a zerk fitting.

I received this back and just noticed that the two arms they replaced as well, not sure why. And they put them in backwards. Is this correct? I have no idea why they would place the two lower arms on this in just a refurbishment order. Any ideas?

If you mean upside down, it makes no difference. If it makes you feel better, change them around. Hard to believe that type of part would wear out in a couple of lifetimes.

I could see that being trouble.....for someone with a high OCD quotient for proper 'order' or whatever. Think I could learn to ignore it.

Never was impressed with Dillion service. I looked at them really hard for my first reloading setup and inquired a couple informations on several separate occasions and never received a single response. No service they get no money from me.

It’s easy enough to fix yourself, but if you paid for their cleaning service they should fix it.

Their current service is garbage. Service while mike Dillon was alive, pre Covid, and now are all different things.

Are you sure they replaced them? I would assume they just disassembled the whole press for a full cleaning and then reattached the arms upside down because it didn’t matter, or because they didn’t realize the lettering went the other way.

Have you ever heard of trying it first to see if it works?
Then, if there are problems, you call Dillon.

The parts were clearly new compared to the finish on the frame.

Poor customer service is prevalent across almost all industries.

Companies have been selling less due to supply chain bottlenecks and are seeking profits from efficiencies and lower costs. One of the things thats been reduced is customer service, training etc.

If a company hasnt run Lagrangian Profitability Maximization analyses and put the results in place during Covid; theyre probably bleeding pretty bad.

If my press, I would change them around too. It would bother me as I do like things in order as they should be. It goes better with the beer at the reloading bench. Focus on the reloading afterwards.
