I can't for the life of me find any dillion dies and not sure i want to wait the lead time they are giving on the site. Has anyone used the following set on a dillion 750?

    RCBS Carbide Pistol 3-Die Set

      Just order them and wait.
They should come in by the end of the year.
Probably sooner as they work through the backlog that are currently working through.

RCBS and most other dies are meant for single stage press use so they don't have the nice belled opening on each die that makes the Dillons so much nicer on a progresive press.
Redding might have some dies made specifically for use on progressive presses.

      Here ya go:

      In stock!

That die set does not have a separate crimping die so figure on ordering a separate crimp die as well.

          Don't wait too long.
3 other dudes that also want to reload 45acp are probably reading this thread and are going to buy up the remaining inventory now that I posted the links...

Also, it's going to run you over $200 to get them now vs the $120 that Dillon gets for similar quality dies.
That's the only reason those dies are still in stock.

$175 or best offer on eBay plus shipping for a new set or play the auction game starting at $150.

Or do what I do, aquire a hard to find item of equal value and trade for it. Has worked for me on everything from Firearms, primers, presses, parts, ammo you name it. I traded two different books to two different people last month. Got an amazing deal on hard to find brass and I had several people willing to make the deal.

I would make an offer on the first if I was looking for a set and didn't want to wait.

                          https://www.ebay.com/itm/33420339242...gAAOSw6HhhjDGd FREE SHIPPING $46.79

As Randall noted on other dies. Add a separate Taper Crimp. $19.24 shipping included.https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...p+die&_sacat=0

For $66 you get dies capable of making pistol ammo more accurate than any human hand is capable of out shooting.

Micrometer bullet seaters have a purpose for precision rifle ammo.

Micrometer bullet seating dies for 45 acp. Is definitely some damn expensive lipstick on a pig. Especially in a sloppy progressive press.

Modern Lee pistol dies are all entry contoured for progressive presses.

Unless you are loading on a beefy rigid single stage. And shooting all the ammo from a Ransom Rest. You will never discern a bit of difference.

Spend the other $140 on components.

I have loaded many thousands of .45 ACP rounds on a Dillon with Lee carbide dies and their factory crimp die. I have had no issues.

I dunno about that. I use Lee's dies on several progressive presses, including the .45 ACP dies, and they work very well, also.
