    45 acp dies

I have only been loading 9mm but want to start getting into 45 acp. What dies do you guys recommend? For the 9mm I just went with carbide dillon dies. But wondering if maybe I should go a different route and why? Thank in advance!

Carbine in case you don't want to lube. Why not stick with Dillon, I just stuck with lee for most of my stuff.

I don't have an issue with dillion just thought I would ask others thoughts on the matter. Dillon is expensive currently if I don't want to wait forever to order from dillion.

A little more info would help. Are you planning on reloading special or different types of bullets. What kind of press do you operate? Will you need a powder through die? Will your required a factory crimp die?

For the price I would buy a New Lee Carbide Die set.
Reloading Supplies of all types (PRESSES, POWDERS, PRIMERS, DIES, BRASS, MANUEL'S, TRIMMERS, LEAD, CASTING EQUIPMENT AND MORE) (NEW, USED, OLD, VINTAGE, DISCONTINUED, HARD TO FIND)
        WHAT DO YOU NEED?

I'll put together another parts and gear ad soon.

I have no experience with a Dillon 750 but I think in order to use Lee's pistol FL sizing dies, the lock nut must be mounted on the bottom. Can anyone confirm this?

Lee also because they are cheap and work great.

The Dillon dies are worth getting IMO.

                        Stick with Dillon's dies.
They are the best you will get for loading on a progressive press.

Lee dies have shorter threads so there is often not enough threads for the lock nut to be on top when the short dies are installed in a Dillon press.
The easy solution is to put the nut on the underside of the toolhead.
It makes adjustments a little more troublesome, but that's the price you pay for going with the cheaper dies.

I started with RCBS equipment over 25 years ago and have stayed with them for pretty much everything. I do have a Lee universal decapping die and maybe a couple of other odds and ends.

Carbide dies for straight wall cartridges (don't want or need to lube cases for these).
