            Here's my process.

            • decap
            • wet tumble with pins
            • rinse and dry well
            • resize and load

If roll sizing, would do that after the cleaning and decap to keep the equipment clean and sort out any damaged cases beforehand.

I don't think I've had a crimped primer pocket that stopped a primer from going in.

I used to clean primer pockets but I haven't for many many thousands, never an issue.

I used to trim 9mm, now I've realized I keep finding once fired 9mm at the range.

9mm is the fastest and easiest reloading process I do, love it.

Except the roll sizing part. Decapping before tumbling cleans the primer pocket.

I've only loaded a hundred thousand or so pistol rounds, and I've never cleaned a primer pocket.

It's a machine that feeds and sizes brass. It's super high volume.

                          Roll sizing

Roll size machines size the entire length of the brass, eliminating any bulge near the bottom. Here's a video YouTube Link

Ya. Sometimes you can buy roll sized brass from vendors who process a lot of brass. Not something you do in your garage.

If buy roll sized brass, I still run it through my sizer. Brass thickness varies and roll sizing only makes the OD consistent. OD's don't hold bullets.

I dry tumble, then reload on a progressive press so primer gets removed and new one in one step.

I sometimes remove primers, then wet tumble with stainless pins.

I have found that if I de-prime first and then dry tumble, I will get media stuck in the primer flash hole, rare but its happened, so I dry tumble with primers in, wet tumble with primers out.

I only roll size occasionally. I roll size all range pickups, so I will wait until I have a lot of range pickups to do roll size. No issues with my guns if I don't roll size but my son-in-laws HK compact will get misfeed's on bulged cases, so I roll size range pickups for his gun.
