Well boomer, you used the Karen insult wrong but I'm not the one missing the point as I pointed out some of the alternatives.

Nobody needs to wait a year for a mcmillan stock either, but people do. Nobody needs to wait a year for their custom rifle to be built, but people do. Its almost like, despite other options, some people want certain things and are willing to wait.

Just ordered dies from dillon....32 auto.
Here's the rest of the story, they only carry and sell Redding dies in the .32.
      Kind of a recommendation.

There was a time (long ago) when the Dillon tech guys were telling customers to use Lee dies for sizing. The radius on the bottom of the Dillon sizing die was large enough that some cases were not sized enough. This was for for shooters reloading high pressure 9mm and .38 super. As others have noted, just put the nut on the bottom if one uses Lee dies in one of the Dillon presses.

Nothing wrong with figuring out how to get the job done.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

It's been that way a LONG time.
I got my 32mag/long/acp dies from Dillon 20ish years ago.
I have never reloaded acp, but I ended up with a 32acp recently so it's time to start watching for some 32acp brass when I am brass scrounging at the range.

Mike, I've heard that same thing about putting the nut under the shell plate.

I can tell you on my 750 with both 9mm and .38 special Lee dies, all I needed to do was change to Dillon lock rings, and they fit on top just fine.

It's because the Lee lock rings (older version, maybe still current) had a counterbore on the bottom surface for an o-ring. Agree that most of the time the Dillon lock rings would work. If one didn't have a spare set of the Dillon, one could get by with the Lee.
Kind of like mixing and matching parts in powder measures so they work with .38 short colt, without actually ordering a special expander/drop tube.

Thats because lee changed the die design. My lee dies are almost 30 years old.

Now that I have money I won't touch lee dies unless Redding doesn't offer what I was looking for.

I have the 550b and a Pacific tool & die single stage press.

Here's my recipe for .38 short colt on a Dillon 750 with a case feeder.

Starting with the case feeder I'm using a .38 special orange case feed adaptor, turned 180 degrees.

A green 9mm case feed arm bushing, and a 9mm case feed body bushing.

                  A .38 special station 1 locator

A .38 special Lee sizing die in station 1

A Mr Bullet Feeder powder funnel in station 2

A Mr Bullet Feeder dropper die in station 3

A 9mm Lee seating die in station 4

A 9mm Lee crimping die in station 5

I load standing up and visually look into every case before a bullet drops into it. So far as good.

                  It's just that simple

To change over to 9mm I change the shell plate, the sizing die, the station 1 locator, and the case feed adaptor to a green 9mm one, oriented the correct way.

Just picked up Dillon 9mm dies at my local GS. Last one they had in stock. I need to stock up on some 124 gr projectiles.
