NO TV while reloading !!!

I do have music while reloading and have had TV on when de-priming, but when actually loading...NO TV !!!

No to wheels on bench, that will make it wobble no matter how good the locks are.

I made both my benches with 3/4" ply doubled up on top so its 1 1/2" thick. First bench I welded up legs and put a top on it, second bench, I went overboard on and used 4x4's for legs along with that 1 1/2 top. I have one small bench with 2 Dillon 650's on it and one bigger bench that I do all my prep work on and gun cleaning.

I have thought about something like this. I am not sure how well it would stay in place with just the wheels locked.

As far as the TV as a distraction, I think that is true for the majority of people. I have to have some background noise almost constantly due to my tinnitus. Too many years working on jet engines and around aircraft. If I don't have a TV or music in the background the ringing in my ears can get to be quite the distraction. At least with the varying noise of TV or music I can block that out like it's the kids or wife!!

That's exactly what I'm using for a small lathe and small mill (2 units ... one for each machine). I have no problems with movement caused by the wheels. The whole thing is quite steady. Actually the price several months ago was about $100 less (I think they go on sale from time to time). For my handloading I use Home Depot's bench which is adjustable in height, but it has no drawers. Again, I have had zero issues due to wheel movement. I will likely make some personal modifications in the future, but all of the units function quite well as they are. I prefer a bench without drawers for the handloading function because that allows my knees to fit under the bench if I'm using a chair. The adjustable height feature allows me to either use the table while standing or while seated.

If anyone purchases one of these tops and is going to put a finish on it, do all sides at once. CG'er here several years ago tried to do one side at a time and it warped.

Agreed!!! Measuring cases, case prep, primer, powder, seating... NO distractions.


Sorting, cleaning, decapping brass, I play Spotify (no commercials, so no radio) ambient music for me.
