so i'm looking at the CP2000 (was looking at the DL750.
I want to process brass on this machine in 9mm and 223. I need recommendations for good dies for the following station. they can be dillon-dies, Mark7-dies, Lyman dies, or other if there is a major advantage.
i will have 2 toolheads for easy caliber change. i just don't know what else i need. I did order the 223 mark7
1 - Universal Decap (9mm/223)
2 - Lyman M die (neck expansion) (9mm/223)
3 - Trim (using DL1500 trimmer) and need the corresponding die (only for 223)
4 - Swaging (9mm)
i bought the Mark 7 ultimate die pack for for my apex 10 reloader
I have not purchased dies for the 9mm tool-head b/c i really waasn't sure if these were my best options.
i just want quality dies that will be usefull for when i add an autodrive to the CP2000.
NOTE - the problem with the 750 is there were just not enough stations for 223. 9mm was fine because i only needed 3 stations, but i needed 4 station (minus the priming stations) so i would/could add that task to the apex10 reloader since there is room. i just felt like having all the reprocessing tasks done on 1 machine.
With the 750 i would have to swage on the productions apex 10 for 223. not a huge deal, but....just personal preference, like not wanting to use a "seating-crimping" die. i rather have individual stations than combining things. all in all, the 750 would be less expensive.
would love to hear your setups and die recommendations!
thanks!
