Cool, if true. Although if they stick with the 6-box per customer limit, that ammo counter could get really crowded. One time, I bought 2 boxes from the Chino WM and there were 5 people in front of me with 1 shopping cart. All of them were in the same group and they just loaded up on ammo.

i have 3 friends I can tag along should that happen. i just came from walmart milpitas and it's barren!\

but really, i'd only ask them to get the .22lr for me. i sure would love to try that Federal Lightning stuff people mentioned in the commercial thread. Have not seen that in Mtn. View, Gilroy and Milpitas.

it's not enough because it will be spread throught the chain and many of you will hog it anyway, so nothing to be happy about.

I'm calling BS on this one.

Right now .223 55gr FMJ seems very difficult as in long wait times for supplies to make them. Hornady is sold out for the rest of the year, Armscor is picking up slack but they are stressing or showing signs of it, Federal is backed up due to subcontractors being short and slowing down the lines. It's pretty interesting what's going on now.

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and hopefully most of it isn't 22lr!!

maybe they are not posting the cci/speer/federal info but they say 1.3b/year

Yeah that's the 1.3B with capacity of up to about 1.8B at the LC plant alone for the military. This plus some from their other smaller plants and then the 5B+ of commercial production comes out to the approx 8B.

.45 ACP is certainly high on the list.

even though I don't tend to buy ammo at walmart I am glad to see them committing to future sales in any capacity.

The story has a business truth to it in that unless they bring in a major one time shipment there shelves will continue to run bare and many people will just give up altogether.

It's too bad Walmart is so sheepish about it. As part of there american pride marketing they ought to include firearm and ammo sales I'm so tired of people and companies hiding it like it's immoral.
