Rumor: Walmart Ammo

A friend on mine says Walmart will be recieving in the next few weeks about a billion rounds of Win, Rem & Fed ammo. He claims we should start seeing it on the shelves in 4-6 weeks.

I hope its a good intel.

Hmmmm....1 Billion rounds seems pretty steep - not so sure that's even possible at the current time but I'd like to be wrong!

One billion rounds is only ten million WWB value packs. Divided by the number of Walmarts in the US that sell ammo, it doesn't sound like much to me.

Oh, and Walmart would never wait 4-6 weeks to put product on the shelf.
They can usually go dock-store in 5-7 days.

A billion rounds!?!?!

That's more than 60 cases of 22LR per store! That's like...a whole pallet's worth! If Walmarts are going to start ordering products by the pallet load, they better make sure they have at least one pallet jack at each store first, I tell you what!

Well considering ATK (which is the country's biggest small arms ammo producer owning CCI, Speer, Federal,etc.) produces only 8 billion rounds or so a year, of which at least 2 billion or so goes to the military and another good-size chunk to LE agencies, one company obtaining 1 billion rounds in times like these (not to mention every month) just seems a bit unbelievable. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and hopefully most of it isn't 22lr!!

I heared one of the associates in an Eerie Indiana walmart wherehouse found this old coffee can that evevery time you reach into it gives you a case of whatever maker/caliber you want .

I hope this is true because i just walked into Walmart yesterday and all their shelves were empty. I talked to the customer rep. and he said that they receive shipments of ammo on random days. He also mentioned that the best time to get some ammo is early in the morning because it goes quick. I guess i'm gonna have to be getting up early these days!!!
