    SLAP question

I know you need enough crimp to hold a projectile during recoil.

I came across an auction for "factory" SLAP ammo and the neck looks funny...

Any former military guys here who used SLAP?

    Is this Crimp normal?

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

I found another pic... I'm guessing that is factory crimping

Kentucky Ballistics youtube channel just had a special episode about SLAP rounds. Includes all the info about them I will ever need.

Holy crap, that .50 belt is worth some coin. The Raufoss round alone goes for $75, maybe more.

Wouldn't take it even if it was free. Regular ol' ball for me

It cut an artery in his neck, if it wasn't for his father he'd be dead, if it wasn't for eye pro he'd probably have lost the one he needed to shoot. My loaded ammo or national factory ammo for me only.

If I had a successful YT channel, I might shoot it.

If I was standing 30 feet away, off to the side, behind plexiglass.

If the rifle was clamped in place and I was pushing a button to actuate a servo to pull the trigger.

Edit to add - No smear on Kentucky Ballistics, not pretending I knew anything he didn't.

But going forward....I don't see people shooting this stuff.

Scary video of the rifle blowing up shooting a slap round. Noticed an experienced 50 guy saying you should not shoot saboted slap rounds in a rifle with a muzzle brake!!!

I didn't know about the different chamber dimensions before mrkubota talked about it in another thread.

His barrel was rated for the Slap. Mark Sarbu confirmed it in previous videos

I don't think so. Too much energy too close to some of my favorite parts to be racking up fake internet points.

FCSA had regular warnings about putting extra stuff into a brake.

fortunately I knew they were no-go in my barrett

1:50 the capt. mentions slap cannot be fired from m8a1

I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it
