    Sellier & Bellot

Has anyone ever used Sellier & Bellot (SB) ammo? Is it any good, problems? I'm thinking of ordering some, the gun stores I usually shop at don't carry it, so I've never used it before.

I've shot plenty of 9mm and .45 with no problems . But the primer pockets are a little tight on the .45 I've reloaded.

It's as good as anything else I've shot. It rivals any of the major ammo companies ammo. A couple of things I should point out though. Their .357 magnum ammo and some of their .38 jacketed bullets actualy have a bimetal jacket that might not fly at some ranges that don't allow steel jacketed ammo. Unless they've changed that recently, that's something to look out for. Also, as metioned, if you reload, S&B brass has somewhat tight primer pockets. Their diameters seem just a little bit smaller than the rest. This can make priming a little more difficult. I'm not sure if any of that will apply to you, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

It's my preferred 9x18Mak ammo, and I've also used it in 9mm Luger and .45ACP with no problems at all.

It burns good but I cant stand that red paint they put on the primers. It gums up my bolt face and firing pin hole....

I love Sellier & Bellot ammo. It's my preferred ammo for my CZs.

I've fired hundreds of rounds of S&B .380 and even a good bit of .32 ACP. Never had a problem with any of it. Burns clean, runs through my guns fine, and is somewhat cheaper than alot of other stuff.
