I just saw an AD from June 2019.... 1k of 7.62 shipped for 180. Bear steel cased

22lr bricks seemed to be closer to $35, and 223 got down to about 25c. 9mm was under 20c.

Import primers were $22/k late 2019. I got 3 pounds of wst powder for $23 each just in December from midway.

3cents a primer was a ripoff, but most places sold for that.
All of the places that were less than 2.7c were always out of stock, but they were out there if you checked several times a day.

If you could order online and pickup locally, that was the best deal since you didnt pay shipping or hazmat and didnt have to get off your rear to find it. Just to pick it up.

Last time I bought primers from PVI was about $125 for 5k.

Dont worry though you never have to worry about "normal" prices again. Guns will likely be banned before they come down close to the good old days.

Last time I bought 9mm (before the NEW-panic), it was ~$21/bx for 20/ea JHPs, and $12-$15 for a box of 50 9mm 115GR FMJ. ($0.27712/rd FMJ 115gr, AVG to be exact... after tax, but w/the Vet-Day weekend discount.)

I can't remember the last time I got anything else but 9mm, 12 gauge, or .22lr, as I reload everything else I shoot.

EDIT: I did log my last 12 gauge price in a Big 5, pre-$1 BGround check/TAX:
12 Gauge, Walmart: $0.2342485/rd, and before that:
12 Gauge, Big 5: $0.3231423/rd for #7 bird-shot, just after the last panic for I think it was 100 including TAX.

FYI, I DID overpay for 9mm FMJ SD/HD rounds @$27+TAX, AND 50rd 115GR ball @ $40+TAX.

The last time I bought 9mm it was $9.50 a box 115gr. ball, 12 gauge was $89.00 a flat Rem, #7.5 for Trap. 22LR $14.00 a brick, 38SPL,.357 Mag,.223,20 gauge,22-250,45ACP, I can't remember I reload all of it except .22LR

It was like that time when gas was 1.25/gal and then went to 5.00/gal and never entered the realm of under 3.00/gal again or close to it. My friend in OR just bought 50rds of 9mm for 12.99 a box this week and 300 22LR minimags for 23.99. Just because he could. Limit of 2 boxes but hey, he isnt' paying CA price. So, is is the factories selling to CA retailers for more or are we just ripping each other off?

The only difference between ammo prices four years ago and what they will be four years from now will be the sales tax and the FFL fee to transfer. Until then, I have more than I need on hand. The earth will run out of coal and oil centuries before it runs out of lead, copper and zinc.

What many do not understand is the time involved factor. I am not offering ammo for sale in this state because of the time it would take to meet up at a dealer and transfer.

For example I have about 200-300 rounds of 303 British and some 308 I have no need for.
I am not going to spend about an hour or more of my time meeting up and possibly waiting in a line for up to an additional hour to sell some ammo. Especially at cost. For it to be worth while, one would have to mark it up. Now factor in the time would you go through all that to sell a couple boxes of .38sp for lets say $30 per box. Face to face like the old days sure. Not these days. Not me. Think about it would you? What is your time worth?
