Just for grins I checked out ammo auctions on Gunbroker tonight, using 1K cases of 9mm FMJ as baseline marker. Bids seem to start at least $500 and range upward to $800-plus. Are people rally paying those prices for range ammo?

Most of us scoff at anything over $0.20 per round but then imagine you didn’t get wiser when Clinton was still in office and think how much a case would be worth to you now, had you recently started?
edit: seriously, they better start cranking out more ammo because if this keeps up imma be a scalping jerk; I look at what I got and I start seeing money signs

Cheaper than Dirt is selling 5.56/223 at almost $2 per round! Most gunshops around me are around $1.60-$2/round for handgun ammo. I’ve been asked by too many people I know to load ammo for them, I would if components were available. The wise man said just find your place

You should search for completed items.
1000 rounds 9mm $805
1000 rounds 9mm $745
1000 rounds 9mm WW $820
Looks like it's around $800 for 1000 rounds of 9mm.Comment

CTD keeps sending me emails with ammo in stock and their prices are simply laughable. I told them you can keep on gouging California gun owners but it stops there then I linked my ffl and his prices and they said no way they can sell it that low. I said think again and keep selling at those prices to California. I will pay 2018 prices and have since Jan of 2020.Comment

Should be $300-$400 for a box of 1000 rounds of 9mm. Anything over that is total bs and I will never ever pay that type of money for ammo. F that noise. You should search for completed items.

I found one where someone paid $999.99 for 1000 rounds. I've got all I need, I'm not in the market to buy, and these prices are crazy,
EDIT: It was no bids actually .. Still crazy prices.

It's going to get a lot worst. Covid+Riots+Democrats taking Congress,President Office. I am afraid not even SCOTUS will go untouched if the mob wants to remove Amy Barret and Kavanaugh. Might even go all the Trump judges.
These prices in 6 months may well be seen as a bargain. Its killing my range time.Comment

With what I’m seeing around my neck of the woods, 1918 ammo prices are wishful thinking. I can’t believe 1K of primers are selling for $100+!!! I just can’t spend that much for my better half would cut mi huevos. I wouldn’t say I have enough ammo, but if the S hits the F depending where in Komifornya you are that 1000 round stash of (fill in the blank) can go overnight. Hopefully the ammo and guns brought to me by bad guys buying the farm will be good stuff. The wise man said just find your place

1500 rds of 9mm for $900 is the rate I was looking at. But I'm broke right now."It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.
CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ QuietComment
