    Labradar Sight

Just an FYI...ordered this after market sight from eBay for my Labradar. It's only a few bucks and fits perfectly. Is it critical to have, no not really, but it did help improve the readings a lot at the range by better aligning the unit to your target. The bubble level is cool too in maximizing proper alignment as well. PM me if interested in source.

The bubble level could be neat. I literally duct tape on a spent .223 casing and look through the primer hole for the ultimate redneck solution.

Does one centre the bubble level, or rather, does one aim the LabRadar at the target? Just trying to see the need for a bubble level

I aim at the target first for alignment, and then confirm unit is perfectly level horizontally (left to right) to maximize radar beam on target. Kinda like shooting through a scope...cross hairs need to be level or could impact POI if cantered left or right. Prior to using sight I was getting 2 bars from radar...now I get 5 solid bars its tracking round down range.

the trick that was given to me... zoom the camera on your phone all the way in and place against the unit & aim through the phone - I would like to say that this method works great but unfortunately my Labradar has been on back order since the beginning of December

I printed my own and put a red dot on it.

Thank you for posting that info. I've got a sight on mine, but hadn't been paying much attention to level.

Gonna order these bubble levels and glue one on now....

Interest to the source was more than I expected, so below is some additional info if you want one. Search for "Labradar Crosshair Sight" in eBay from seller "sights1968". He's got a few different models to choose from. It's a low investment that won't break the bank, but I think makes a difference worth trying. The one with the bubble level is new, so tell him you want that one if possible. Good luck.

I guess I don't get the whole labradar thing. It's expensive, and since most people use their chrono once a month? A year? There are much cheaper and easier to use chrono's out there.

I use a Pro Chrono DLX and it works well, and cost a hundred bucks.

I Krazy glued a short piece of 1/8" brass tubing I had lying around into the notch. Works for me.

Not sure I really understand the level on top. I put a red dot on mine just for fun. If anyone wants one shoot me a PM.

Long range shooters use the chrono all the time. And its a pretty convenient thing to do, you make it sound like its some big chore. I throw the lab radar down while I check zero before I shoot a match all the time. Its quick, easy, and why not confirm? I think your use of "most people" doesn't really make sense. Maybe "most people" who have cheap optical chronos use them once a month (let's be honest, half those people dont even shoot once a month). But the people who actually own a lab radar generally aren't that type of "shooter" so you are comparing apples to oranges. I'd bet that people who actually own a labradar are also the people who use them more frequently.

It makes about as much sense as someone who has an 18" HD shotgun that sits in the safe 364 days out of the year saying a fancy sporting clays gun is unnecessary or whatever it is you are trying to say. "But most people only use their shotgun once a year!", give me a break.
