He will need the bluetooth adapter too. Works very well.

What? I have the chrono, and an android phone. No adapter.

        It works just fine.

They no longer sell the adapter. It's not needed

Agreed. This model was my upgrade after having the previous model without the connectivity. Much improved

What is your budget? I have the chrono linked above, but am looking REALLY hard at the labradar. Not having to worry about shooting it, or setting it up in front of the bench is appealing.

If it were me, and since it's a two+ hour drive to do load dev on BLM, and since BLM seems to be closed to vehicle traffic or target shooting more often than not lately; I'd just get a magneto speed or save a bit more and get a labradar. I guess you'd need a labradar if you're going to be doing handgun stuff as well.

Setting up a chrono downrange at a public range is the pits. I've been sitting on reloads I can't test because literally the only places for me to shoot within several hours of my home are public ranges and I have a Chrony (and haven't been able to mentally justify buying a second chronograph yet).

I was in the same boat. Now I'm planning on getting a Magnetospeed in the next few weeks. And the pic rail adapter for handguns. I'll put up a quick review after I try it out.

Labradar you need a very stable tripod or base. A lot of labradar got knock down by wind and drop on the ground.

It's not out in front of the muzzle. Pick it back up. It's not really any worse than any other tripod mounted stand-alone unit (maybe a bit more top-heavy on a tripod, but that's about it.)

I like the Labradar. It is, however, very expensive (comparatively), and it has its own set of quirks. For me, it works well.

I was just getting ready to order a Labradar tonight but I just saw the specs and it's limited to 3,900 fps, which rules out some of my favorite loads in my 22.250 AI.

I still want one but now I have to think about it.
