Another +1 vote for Imperial Wax on very large cases (50 BMG for me), but I'm using a Lee shell holder, not an RCBS.

There are 3 that are common to use on 338 Lapua but 2 of them will do what you have pictured.
RCBS 48. I got a redding one to replace it. But I plan to use lube liberally from now on.

I thought those were made of hardened steel!

I use a RCBS #14 shellholder and a #37 and #48 are you using Lapua brand brass?
One is used for Norma brand 338 Lapua brass and one needs the front edge opened up to get the snuggest fit.

And to answer the other question NO shellholders are NOT Hardened and you can sand them easily if your dies don't bump the shoulder enough. Once sanded you can tear the lips right off them.

Nosler brass, from what I could tell they were pretty soft. Or at least the neck was, they were denting really hard from hitting my turret from manual ejecting. With enough lube we'll see what happens the next time, shouldn't be a problem.
