I'm finding myself behind on "projectiles"

I imagine the more experienced loaders here manage their component inventories. Sometimes I let my primer and powder purchases get ahead of me.

What I mean is, are folks hoarding the proportion to load recipes?

I noticed I'm quite far behind on actual bullets relative to my powder/primer inventory.

I'm flush on everything. That comes from having to suffer living in California all of my life.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Better planning in the future and get into casting your own=more. I'm going up to MT either Sunday or Monday and will look while I'm out and about for a few things, road trip is always a good thing when you have things you want. Besides I like the no sales tax up there so long guns are on the look for list to.

I find that if you budget like, $50 per paycheck, and keep a good inventory, then just spend the $100 a month on whatever, soon you will be swimming in everything.

Came into the same issue trying for bulk .308 and never in stock for a few months. Relented and decided to get some Spire Point but 100 per bag. Grabbed 15 bags.

Can't fault you too much. Primer and powder seem to go missing first. Brass can be found (or recycled) and bullets made. Creating your own primers and powder is mostly a bridge too far.

Assuming you want cast bullet for pistols, some of the out of state mom and pop casters are still in stock.

If you want plated or jacketed, good luck. What;s in the pipeline now is all that will be available until after the election, assuming Trump wins. All bets are off, if Creepy Joe wins.

For some the glass is half empty. For some of us it's half full. When the mania dies down I'll be a buyer again.

Shoot one buy two is my game. I am way ahead on everything.....although I do have 3000 bullets hung up in Sacramento USPS for a month now. Someday I hope they get around to delivering them....

Took inventory the other day and I have over 40k primers alone. I need a few more bullets in order to equal out the components but powder is in good supply. I hate getting behind on parts and pieces so I just don't ever let my supplies dwindle.

Not me... As I manufacture ammo (and plan to get back into it commercially), I was always buying up bulk projos w/cosmetic defects (tarnish) for great prices.

I thought I was a real genius - right up until I decided to move all that weight to northern ID. What a nightmare that turned into.

I am good for powder/primers/brass and bullets for all my different cartridges.
I am down to about 200 Barnes 100gr 257 and 6.5 bullets and IF I want to hunt with my 454 Casull I need to buy some Barnes. However I still have plenty for any hunting/check sighting I will need to do for a couple years.

Plan ahead and stock up when the stuff is cheaper and easy to get. Then you do not need to sing the blues when others start panic buying. Also buy bulk amounts when you do buy unless you are just getting enough to test for a potential load. One you find it then buy bulk.

This is not the 1st time this has happened and will not be the last. Think ahead.

Be very careful buying wheel weights, most are steel or zinc.
