Negitive Head Space

There is no end. A reloader claims he has negative head space, there is a chance he does not know better but someone on two pages of responses should be smart enough to get close when answering the question.

His feeler gage was on the wrong side of his shellholder which means his tensions were all off on his datums. I am the only Reloader that knows datums tensions and feeler gages so he will have to size his brass more unless he doesn't know Bump.

Well maybe his is using negative and positive numbers like caster and camber to a car alignment. I don't get it either.

I do not know what part you do not get.

If we are talking about caster on a vehicle we expect the caster to be the same on both sides; if we are driving down on a road that is high in the center we want less caster on the left side than the right.

If we are driving a motor cycle without caster we can not drive fast.

And then there is road shock and shimmy, for a smooth ride we want negative caster. If we want road wonder and weave we want zero caster.

And if we want to drive down the road without hands we want lots of caster, caster allows the auto to drive straight down the road.

I am the only Reloader that understands bias ply and radial tires. If your measuring tensions your using radials on your street car bias ply on your 4 wheel drive and you don't golf.
I make my own datums and I am the only Reloader who does so I have no tires on my boat but I do on my boat trailer.
I use feeler gages under my rod holders which means more fish but again I know feeler gages.
Rocky Raab knows neck tensions but he went to the moon but don't tell that to Elan Musk.

I am as happy with the answer no as I would be with the answer yes. If you do not know just say you do not know. Ever time the subject 'head space' comes up everyone jumps out into the fast lane like they are experts. The question I asked was presented to an expert forum I honestly though they could do better, it is my understanding most of them are bench resters.

None of them acted like children, in my opinion they just made it up as they went.

Negative Headspace Matters

I am the only Reloader who rests on a bench thus I am a bench rester. When your resting on a bench it is important that you take your spurs off before you squat. Tetanus is more than most reloaders can handle while resting on a bench but they can handle it while sleeping on a bench. They are known as sleeper shooters benchsleepers or tired but I have no gages that measure in sleepiness.

I had a barrel that had zero headspace and another that had over 0.100 headspace and when I bought a short chambered barrel it was 0.050 under but then again I am a wildcat.
There is no such thing as negative voltage but depending on where you locate the ground there is negative voltage simple.
