For me the XTP is a waste of money in a lower powered load, I use plated or hard cast for the lighter loadings and save the XTP's for the heavier loadings with H-110 or IMR 4227.

Hodgdon has loading data on their on line data for the 240 Nosler JHP using CFE Pistol. 10-12 grains.

Why can't you use that data? Start low and work up. It will work fine for your 240 XTP.

I've done this many times successfully as long as you use a bullet of similar construction and in the same weight category.

        Start low and work up.

Looks like others beat me to it by a couple of minutes.

Doesn’t seem to be any Load data For 240gr XTP and CFE Pistol?

Both are popular, what causes some bullets/powder combos to be a no go?

Anything special need to be done when changing powders In a dispenser to prevent mixing?

Eww. Sure you wanna use cfe pistol on a 44 mag? 44 special I get but 44 mag?

Ew. BTW, You would probably be safe loading 44 special into a 44 mag, it would just be a little longer and give less pressure probably. Double check that though. So are there 44 special load data for 240 xtp? Maybe ftx?
