    renting reloading press time

I have had a few coworkers hit me up for reloaded ammo and have always said no. I now have them asking asking if they provide or buy reloading components to rent press time. Is there a liability for me with them using my press, gauges, scales and books?

I would let my friends use my stuff. Share the knowledge. Now if you don’t like them then easy pass

Maybe. But one thing I certainly would not do is sell them your reloads. Huge liability there

Would you really leave them alone in your garage ? (Reloading room )
          Liability.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

I wont let people shoot my reloads except my brother because nobody makes this wildcat load. People I don't like I wont talk to them out of work hours. The ones I trust know I have been reloading for over 30 years.

I'm no lawyer but if I was in your situation I'd only allow people I know really well to use my reloading equipment and then only if they know what they're doing.

I would be careful about leaving them alone in your reloading room. Unless you know them really well, you should be there.

I'd make any limitations on how often and for how long known at the outset.

I would not charge them. When you do that you could be assuming some liability because it looks like a business. If they do something stupid or they get hurt or one of their loads is bad, someone could be looking for deep pockets. If you can't do this as a favor, don't.

                ><

I would steer them to an NRA reloading course, local reloading club, local ranges with reloading classes and give them your advice on equipment, where to buy components etc.

Other then that, I would not stick my neck out an inch. Lawyers are expensive!

If they have money to buy components, they have money to buy a press.

I've done that. I oversee them as they make their own rounds and teach them reloading. They buy their own components which I help them out on what to pick.

I don't leave them alone and oversee the whole process and teach them about it. I setup the press and calibrate everything for them.

Oh and I didn't rent it just let them do it. Wasn't a money thing. They like to learn so figure more people learning the better.

                          no

Press is very inexpensive compared to a firearm or components

Find them a rod and gun club to join. Probably reloading equipment there for members.

I don't see a problem with letting in a few of the ladies in from time to time.
