    John linebaughs loads
THESE LOADS ARE FOR LARGE FRAME RUGER REVOLVERS, WIN 92, WIN 94, MARLIN 94
    310gr cast HS-6 12.5gr 994fps 25.000 cup
    310gr cast HS-6 13.5gr 1043 fps 29,800 cup
    260gr cast hs-6 14gr 1130fps 25000 cup
    260gr cast hs-6 15gr 1225fps 30000 cup

I think these were out of a 7 inch pressure test barrel, which he says a 5 1/2" revolver would duplicate. Remember, you will gain approximately 300 fps out of a rifle with hs6, at least that's what I have been getting with a 20" barrel.

You asked for hs6 loads so there you go, those are the max loads for 250-260gr and 300-310gr. Please take the time to read what he says as well.

Curious why you want 150 yards with such a heavy bullet? A lighter bullet will be flatter at that distance.

Look at H110, Win 296, or IMR 4227 you will probably have better results. For context I'm using 22 grs of H110 under a 335gr. hardcast LBT for 1250 fps out of my Ruger Bisley. here is a good thread over at shooters forum on the subject.
This thread is just for compiling info, nothing else. 255 grain cast from RCBS bullet mould backed by 9 grains of Unique for 900 ft/sec 255 grain cast from Lyman Keith style bullet mould backed by 23 grains of WW-296 for 1205 ft/sec 292 grain cast from Paul Jones bullet mould backed by 19...

If the only variable you changed was an increase in powder, the recoil will be sharper, and Unique is a good example of one not well suited beyond moderate loads. IMR4227 and H110 give much better results in heavy 45 Colt, while IMR4227 is the one with more load data for lead or gas check bullets.

            Jesus......
The OP asked for recommend loads WITH UNIQUE AND HS6 for around 1000fps out of a RIFLE. Very easy to achieve with unique or hs6 without going beyond moderate.

I have a load for a 300gr with ww296 that runs about 25k psi for 1534fps , I also have one for the same 300gr with hs6 that runs about 1345fps 25k psi, guess which one has more recoil. I can also lower my charge with hs6 and still be safe, not so with h110 or 296.

If he's looking for 1000fps from his rifle with a 300gr bullet, unique is an outstanding choice.

Nevertheless, 1000 fps is well beyond the maximum load for 300 grain lead according to Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. That is the authority I would use. I have quite a bit of experience with Ruger-only loads in revolver, so I do have some sense of this. I have set aside Unique for all of my magnum loading. Recoil is too sharp when pushed hard. It works great within the standard 45 Colt range.

You mention the Lyman load book, this is the perfect opportunity for you to learn something about the effect of barrel length for a 45 colt. You state you have quite a bit of experience loading Ruger only loads in a REVOLVER.

                From Lyman 50th edition
                7 1/2" barrel
454190 250gr max load 9gr unique 875fps no pressure listed
                16 1/2" barrel win 94
454190 250 gr max load 9gr unique 1157fps no pressure listed

Hmmm probably have to stuff a lot more unique in that revolver load to match the velocity of the rifle, I wouldn't try that, I WOULD USE A DIFFERENT POWDER.

                From hodgdon #26
                300gr bullet 7" barrel 9.5gr unique 898fps 24,400 cup
This load would probably be around 1200fps out of his rifle, NOT WHAT HE ASKED FOR.
                300gr bullet 7" barrel 10.5gr unique 982fps 29,200 cup
Probably 1300fps out of his 20" rifle barrel, again, not what he asked for.
                325gr jsp bullet 7" barrel 8.5gr unique 649fps 18,400 cup
Probably right around 1000fps from his 20" rifle, 8gr with a cast bullet would be almost perfect, as we gain velocity from barrel length, around 300fps through my own testing of medium burn pistol powders and a chronograph and as you can see from the Lyman load book as well.

The OP seeks 1000fps with unique or hs6 with a 315gr bullet in a RIFLE, 8grs will get him that and be PERFECTLY SAFE IN A 1894 MARLIN.

I referred to the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, while you referred to the more comprehensive Reloading Handbook, which is the only one listing a 300 gr load with Unique that meets or exceeds 1000 fps. However, that load is in the T/C Contender section. The Cast Bullet book does provide a lesson in the effect of barrel length, since rifle and handgun data are separate sections and show an increase in velocity numbers for the very same loads listed under handgun. The test rifle was a 16" barrel, while the handgun test was with a 7 1/2".

What is missing here is validation that the rifle can indeed handle T/C Contender loads ("Ruger-only"). That seems to be only opinion that should be used with caution or recommended with disclaimer. The reloading books are not suggesting loading like that.

                    T/C Contender exceeds Ruger/Marlin MAP.

That said 1000 fps shouldn't be any great chore in a RIFLE. Typically, you'll pick up around 200 fps vs. a revolver load with the longer barrel and no cylinder gap. Slower burning powders pick up more than fast burning powders. I wouldn't use any fast burning powder with that payload though.

                        More hodgdon 26

Alliant 2002 reloading manual green circle unique load 12.6x1000 is the pressure.

Remember....we gain 300fps going to a 20 inch barrel with medium burn pistol powder such as unique.
OP asks for 1000fps from a rifle WITH A 315GR lead bullet using unique or hs6. This is right in uniques wheelhouse believe it or not and IS COMPLETELY SAFE IN A MARLIN 94.

Also I would say that Laser cast load book looks fairly dangerous with those reduced h110 and 296 loads, don't use those, just asking for a squib.
