I continued exploring these. I think I have found a long term setup. Unfortunately I need to sell my 1050 to make room for some new equipment.

Saturday was 1,300 of 9mm (124gr berrys and 5.0gr CFE pistol), 700 rounds the week prior
This week I will try to finish up the remaining 3k of components I have left since match season is heading into full swing again.
Finally added a case feeder this weekend after 3 years of reloading. So nice!Comment

Just finished reloading about 200 rounds of 38special - Remington 148LHBWC (moly coated) and 3.3 gr of Bullseye.
Started reloading 9mm - Black Bullets 135RN and 4.0 gr of Winchester 231. Not rushing it but hoping to finish up 500 rounds before the weekend.Comment

148 LHBWC, Lead, Hollow Base, Wadcutter.
At a PPC Match some years back, someone told me that when velocities exceed ~750 fps the pressure
''blows the skirt off' these specialty swaged target bullets. I really wouldn't know. I can't see bullets
in flight at 700 fps.Comment

200 rounds of .44 mag - 22 gr W296 under 240 gr Trucast SWC. Another 50 rounds of 200 gr Missouri coated RNFP with 23 gr 2400 for use in my Rossi 92.
With this home isolation, I will do a lot of reloading...maybe tomorrow it will be .30 Carbine with 110 gr SP or 100 gr Speer Plinkers. Or whatever my wife comes up with.... :-)Last edited by Calif Hunter; 03-19-2020, 5:17 PM.Comment

Prepped & primed about 60 rounds of 444 Marlin brass today and will finish loading tomorrow. Most will be topped with Hornady's 265 gr FP but about 20 or so will be with some heavier 300 gr rounds. Will be using IMR 4198 powder for both.NRA Life MemberComment

I loaded 240gr fp Berry's and didn't have great results with my Marlin 44 mag 16 inch ported lever.
I too used tight group. 10 grains. A few shots had success then it all went to hell. I used another load of 240gr Sierra JHCs and had better results.
I read that the plated bullets can be over crimped so I'll have to check and make sure I'm not doing that.
Have you tried Berry's plated bullets past 50 yards? What type of results did you get?

I have had that issue with plated bullets with no cannelure - also possible bullet setback in a tubular magazine with no groove to roll crimp tightly into. I now use plated bullets with no cannelure only in semi-auto loads with a taper crimp.Comment

Didn't do any today but processed 2500-9, 500-380, 200-45 and 100-38spl.
I plan a little maintenance on my 2 Dillon XL650's tonight and ...

Just finished sizing a butt-load of 45 acp brass and will now do the same with .38 special next. I’m well stocked right now so just prepping my pistol brass, after I punch the 38 I’ll start priming 9mm and 40 that’s already been sized, then when it’s time to make more ammo all I got to do is ad the powder and load a bullet.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment
