Yup yup 231 , 244. If you can get your hands on spherical powdwr like accurate(rolls like ball bearings), that meters real nice on a manual powder drop.

Did a little bit of 25-20 today. I now have 300 rounds ready to go, with about 200 pieces of new brass in reserve..
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

You bought brass? Sheesh, what are you; too lazy to just research, find, and excavate old wild-west encampments and towns in hopes of finding one or two 120 year old cases?Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

50 rounds 45-70 ammo for Marlin 1895GS: bullet- Woodleigh Weldcore 405 grain FP, primer-CC1200, case-WW, powder-IMR3031, charge- 4cc yellow plastic Lee dipper (52.5 grains), case crimped to cannelure with Lee factory crimp die ... been using this load for years ... will put 3 shots into 1 ragged hole @ 50 yds consistently ... Lee 4cc dipper makes it convenient not having to bother setting up scales or adjustable measures and absolutely repeatable and accurate CAUTION: don't use my load or any load without consulting official reloading manuals and following proper work up procedures ... reloading is dangerous if not done properly ... this load might be unsafe in YOUR rifleComment

I like to make things simple. For me there are only 3 kinds of powder for pistol, from fast to slow burning: Titegroup, Win 231/HP38, CFE Pistol. There are many other kind of powder but those are easy to find on my area.
I used Titegroup and Win 231/HP38 on the following pistol: 9mil, 38SPL, 357Mag, 40SW, 44SPL, 44Mag, 45ACP. I used slow burning powder CFE Pistol on .380ACP for easy to meter on my Lee Drum Powder Dispenser.
I knew a guy makes life simple by just used Accurate #2, #5, #7 for fast to slow burn powder. And another guy make life even more simple he used Win231/HP38 on all of his pistol ammo.
I guess on the powder burning rate chart, you just use powder from #10 to #50 for pistols then you are OK. Make life simple just use the powder that easy to find in your area.
Good luck.Comment

My 40 S&W loads for HP-38/W231 using X-Treme 180 grain RNFP shooting from Glock 23, 27, and CZ 75
- 3.8 grain for super light load, anything less has FTF issues
- 5.0 grain for max hot load, anything more and cases get significant bulge that Lee bulge buster cannot remove
- 4.3 - 4.5 grain is my standard loadComment

Purchased 3k of RP 223 Brass. Sized and primed and went to trim and broke the Collet screw handle off my forster trimmer. Because I bulk prep I have a needle nose plier attached for easier leverage and guess tightened it to much and it flexed. Served it purpose over the last 8 years and 20k+ trimmings.
Thank God Grafs had it in stock. Now have to wait a weekish to get it =/Comment
