Need help setting up a Dillons press

I have a dillons 650xl I haven’t been able to get working because the tolerance between my die and the press is off. I’ve been toying with it for over a year. I have all the components ready to rock.

If there is anyone in the north county San Diego area that’s willing to come over for a few hours and help me it get it started I’ll treat you to some brew and a fun time.

Trying to get it running before Christmas. Much appreciated, message me

In Ramona and have a 550. Have you called Dillon. I have seen them send a tag and have you send it in on their dime.

Exactly. What are you talking about? If you are talking about alignment/timing, Dillon makes, and will send you for free if you ask nicely, an alignment tool for the XL650.

Make sure you know what you are doing before cranking out any ammo, especially on a progressive.

Give Dillon a call best CS in the business. Happened to be standing there at their office. They refused a cracked press frame from a guy. Gave him a packing slip and a box. Told him to send it in at the would replace the whole machine. They will help you out plus you can engage them also on their forum.

Dillon will walk you thru everything. I’d also put this in the reloading forum.

Alcohol and handloading do not go together, just as firearms and alcohol es no bueno.

You should be using a single stage press as a new handloader, that way you're already familiar with proper die setup when you begin using a progressive.

Now that's what I call blue Kook-Aid induced patience. I tip my hat to you for investing that amount of time trying to get a press working correctly. I would not have been able to do that. Days at most and then a call to the manufacturer.
