        LynnJr for the Win.

But what about figuring out how this happened so no one has to ask their neighbor for another three-eights
inch wooden dowel for the soon to come second 6.5 brass case stuck in a Lee die story.

Ya, I'm waiting for them to respond as to what is best to get it to them. I am in no hurry.

These were once fired brass from someone I know. Totally passed the visual. I already had lubed, sized and decapped about 50 from that batch no problem.

I've been reloading since 1977 and have had stuck cases but not one like this.

              It's a lee die.

i have had to send some dies back to RCBS and Lee. RCBS you pay shipping there (Oroville, CA) and include a $5 check per die set for return shipping (with a note in the box including your address). they will clean them up to brand new condition practically.

When I had to send my Lee dies back to Lee, I just bought a set of RCBS dies. For the cost to send it in and have them repaired I could almost buy a new set of Lee dies. Check the marketplace here and the equipment exchange over at ar15.com for some used dies. You might get lucky and find a set for cheap.

I'll see what they want to do. I have over 30 die sets so one more won't bugger up anything Most of my stuff is RCBS but I don't turn down deals or stuff I need. I still need a 8x56R set if anyone is selling.

Try putting it in the freezer before trying the wood dowel.

Liquid nitrogen at -320 F might do it but a normal home freezer at around 0F is not going to do crap.
Liquid helium at -452 F would do it.

Then the wood dowel would have worked without it too.
