    Stuck case inside reloading die

Except it has a twist as it was a case head separation. Ideas?

Tap out from the top with a wooden dowel or brass rod.
    Keep it simple!

If I understand correctly the case head is torn off.

It is still possible to extract by threading the brass case with a tap.

Then with a bolt, nut, washer and socket make an extractor just like the ones made to tap out the primer hole and pull out the case.

If you cannot tap it out with a wood or brass rod then the above method is one of the best ways to remove the case.

Need to know what caliber to determine which tap to use. Can also go with metric if it would be a better fit.

Plenty lubed up. Got some once fired brass from a friend and this one separated pretty easy. I may end up sending back to die maker. I put in an email to see options.

What make? Rcbs will fix it for free, most likely. Email them, add 5 bucks in the box the return.

I'd call Lee, see if they can fix it.

Turn the die upside down in your press and collapse the brass with a pointy piece of wood. Whittle a hardwood dowel into a screwdriver shape and tap it under the brass with a lightweight hammer.

If the case was lubed and the head pulled off trying to pull it out of the die I would seriously consider throwing that batch of brass in the recycle can.

wood dowel or brass punch from above lee dies are pretty easy to see the top of the stuck case, though these days I have to put on my 2.5 readers to see the brass, at worst Lee will fix it for you may even come back polished... worth the shipping to them

Ez out to twist the case and break the seal. Then wood to pound out
