If you are talking about the 350 legend. I agree with you.
It is not and will not be a elk rifle, and 250 yards is pushing it for deer.

But the 41 special is some thing that I like....makes no sense to most folks.
    But I still want one.

I put it all together and ran it at the local indoor range. The upper ran flawless. Every round fires and extracts. The extraction is pretty hard and it ejects back at about 5 0'clock.

I will probably add an adjustable gas key to turn that down a bit as the upper uses a carbine gas tube. At 25 yards it's bullet hole on top of bullet hole.

350 legend is a much harder hitting round than a 7.62x39. Recoil is felt. Bullet holes are easy to see. It's also very loud next to 7.62x39. It shoots like a .308. 5.56 nato feels like a .22 next to this caliber.

I wanted a big bore AR and this fits the requirement while not costing a buck a round or more. Reloading will also be easy with that straight case. This is a very fun rifle to shoot.

me I prefer to resurrect the old calibers like 35 remington, 38/55, 45/70,32 special etc. they have the nostalgia and can get cool old guns to shoot them in.

no need for fancy new calibers but then I'm a old crotchity guy

I'm old too but I'm also cheap. This is a great big bore AR round. 50 cent won't break my bank. .458 and .50 Beo is much more $ to buy.
