My NOE mold for 22 LR finally came in. The package had been sitting on the kitchen table for about a week. I had to deal with a broken water main as a priority first.

Here is a picture of the new mold.

It is a 5 cavity mold, heeled bullet design, and should drop bullets at 38 grains each.

I don't even bother to buy it new! In the canyon near where I live, so many people drop live rounds on the ground, I have enough for a lifetime that I have picked up and inspected.

And people say it can't be done . They can't be as accurate . They can't be cheaper .

I have been doing it for awhile , but people here would say I was full of BS .

Guess you showed them , now what they going to say ?

Anytime you have a custom load it will be better .
Bweise says "I have to say the situation was not at all helped by 22 yr old former Airsoft douches who kept touting here, "But possession is not illegal!" "

Only difference will be the powder coating next time. I think I will be adding a small peep sight to the top of the receiver. The old V-notch sight is only so good, and leaves a lot to be desired.

While successful, I'd have a hard time saying it was superior.

The Winchester shot the best group. If you throw one out of each group they're all very close to each other.

My hand loaded shot the best. There are almost 4 touching. Winchester shot the worst. The first Aguila shot the second best. Winchester was last.

Cuz it's 1 test at 45' with a 3" target, weak sights and human influence.

Definitely not enough data to actually make any sort of determination.

Real accuracy testing would be done with a benchrest quality rifle from a benchrest setup with a scope or even better yet from an accuracy testing fixture which completely eliminates the human factors.

Vacuum pack 500 at a time and store in ammo box. easy peasy and should last decades, if needed.
