I just hope you're not buying primers at $100 per 1000 for long term storage. This is a bit worst than the 90s panic, although we are fighting two wars the supply will catch up eventually. If you're a match shooter and it's a must have then by all means make someone proud of their monetory gain. I was told 4 to 6 months by most on-line retailers of primers. Hmmmm... I'm thinking once I hit a rock bottom low of 1500 rounds on my SHTF inventory I'll stop shooting centerfire until supplies catch up. I'm not about to pay $5 to $10 per 100 of primers. But then again if I know for sure the zombies are coming then that's a bargain.

I've heard of rounds being loaded for a long time, rounds that aren't sealed/waterproofed and reliably fired after so many years. I should've bought a few thousands of the Wolf just for plinking reloads. Grrrr... It's cutting down on my shooting.
9 months ago, I purchased some old CCI 400 and CCI 500 from a gunshow, 1000 each, $20flat per box.

they came in boxes that looked like this:

just by looking at the style of the box they must have been pretty old, but they worked just fine.

Yep, old primers never die, they just get better like good Scotch.

I recently paid $37/1000 for WLP at a gun show.

I bought 5000 WSP @ the gun club for $22.50/1000 same weekend. The club was out of WLP & WSR...
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

At the last Ventura gun show, I paid $50 for a little over 7000 primers. Yep, 6000 OLD Rem 1 1/2s in boxes with wooden dividers and 1000 Fed 210s of the same vintage. If you want deals, they're still out there. You just have to dig for them and get lucky too!

ya, that's a rip off. And this isn't your for sale thread so I don't think I'm thread crapping, right??

                              nope you're not.

honestly, i really don't care, what's a rip off to you isn't to others. market price is what it is.

if it sells, great, if not, oh well.

Correct, you can tell him exactly what you think as long as it's not in the for sale section.

$120/k is an incredible rip off and quite frankly insulting. You never know, they may sell and he may make a few bucks. I'm not willing to sell my reputation and good name on this board for a few dollars though.
