You'll have no problem with the 168's and 4895/4064 in your M1A at 600yds.

I can't say I agree with using only small base dies like he states.

41.5 grains of H4895 out to 600 yards, 168 grain MK, Win primer and LC case. Done.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I prefer ball powder and I have been very happy with WW 748.

Anybody use Hogdon Varget in an M1A?
Some say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
Some say that he rode a dirtbike 7k miles across the country and that he once applied Bengay to his own testicles for a mere $50............They call him, the Hutch -Top Gear

Varget is my first choice for any of my .308's good stuff!
And I do not use small base dies, I do run Redding full-length sizer
Do not get crappy dies, if you're looking for match quality, get quality hardware.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.
