Try a headspace tool such as the Hornady.
Try a headspace tool such as the Hornady.
Reloaders have been swooning over tools they know little about. The digital head space gage is a dial indicator stand according to Starrett and all of the manufacturers of precision tools. And then there is the 'comparator'' the comparator is not a head space gage and then there are reloaders that do not understand the case does not have head space.Back to Hornady: the tool used by Hornady has a radius, I know, reloaders do not have a clue but the radius on the Hornady tool prevents the tool from being accurate. If the datum has a radius the tool must be verified, my tools have a sharp edge, I am not interested in having a datum that is case friendly.
But' L.E. Wilson uses a radius on their datums and they have managed to build an accurate case gage. I have never found a case gage by Wilson that required verifying.
