I started with the Lee classic turret, because I wanted something faster than a single stage, but not as complicated as a progressive. I added a Lee single stage when I started loading 357 Sig. I added a Hornady LnL when I was ready for a progressive.

The Lee is a great way to get your feet wet at a reasonable price.

I am still using the RCBS Rockchucker I started reloading with in 1982. I used a progressive for many years but I don't shoot competition anymore and the Rockchucker is great for a couple of boxes at a time.

If you can't afford the Co-Ax, I'd highly recommend getting a Lee Classic Cast single stage press converted to use the Hornady LNL Bushing System...the Hornady bushings are nicer than the Lee Breech Lock system.

The Lee Classic Cast has a superior spent primer handling system as compared to the RCBS

I've been reloading now for a bit over 10 years, and I started out with a Lee single stage press. There have been a few times I wanted to upgrade to a turret style press, but I haven't done that as I don't shoot enough bulk pistol to really justify it. But for the absolute best single stage, the Forester coax is probably where it's at. And I have been really tempted as of late for my bolt action rifles.
