I suspect Lee has shipped a bunch of these dies out with the wrong size insert in the die. I am going to return mine soon.
Not familiar with Lee stuff, but can't the die be disassembled and the insert measured to see what the actual problem is? Would be faster and cheaper than sending it back (at least that's my presumption.)

You are absolutely right, it can.

And I plan on doing that soon. I was not in a hurry to get it "running" because it is for a new caliber that I am adding to my inventory. I am waiting for a new RCBS Turret any way before I finish setting it up. That, coupled with the fact that the only time I can get to my reloading stuff it is 100 degrees in there has made me put it on the back burner.

OP there might be 2 spacers in the die, take one out.
