Depends on how many 22LR guns and kids you have.

The new law didn't kill flipping, the glut of ammo killed flipping. If the ammo shortage comes back, flipping will return with or without the new ammo law. Where required, the flipping will just take place at a FFL.

LOL. I was nervous when my .22 stash dipped below 25K. But, that did include, .22mag, .22 short, .22long, .22BB Caps, .22CB caps .22mag shotshells and .22lr shotshells along with .22lr.

No way. I have a brace of .22 rifles and pistols, and a daughter that likes to shoot them, too.

My goal was to amass enough that I never have to buy rimfire again.

That's actually not much. That's just 20 boxes of 550 bulk federal.

I agree. I "heard stories" of someone standing in line at Walmart, buying the 3 box limit of .22, then selling it to the guy at the back of the line for twice what he just paid for it. THAT is flipping. Preppers had their 50k of ammo hidden in a hole 20 years ago ... and it's not for sale.

Jesus I’m still using ammo my grandfather willed to me. I lost interest in 22lr a long time ago. Never bought single box of that horse crap inflated price bs.
I will say I was headed to a vintage rifle shoot bought some .303 ammo and picked up a new brick of 22lr. $20 for a brick is not bad. Big five had a full shelf of 22lr.

Sorry guys I put the prepers and the flipper whack jobs in the same box. Although I do know a guy that worked third shift and he was clearing shelves at Walmart, just hope for his sake he sold all that stuff and wasn’t sitting on a huge loss.

The media will call that number 500 rounds.

With just 2 Ruger pistols (MK-III, and 22/45), an Ultimate Clip Loader, and a 10/22, we can EASILY plow through over a box per range trip, and that is shooting slow. Maybe ~1000rd if we bring a new shooter, or two.

10k is LESS than 20 range trips for us, and we are just a family of 4.

Since the price is most likely going up substantially, better stock up now rather than then...
We LOVE the MK-III and 22/45, especially with red dots.
