So ... did the Ammo Restriction law curb .22lr flipping?

The .22lr shortage, and subsequent mark-up and flipping was frustrating. With ammo licenses and background checks ... do you guys think that .22lr flipping has ended?

I was surprised to walk into a Walmart up near Santa Rosa and see bulk .22lr (Federal) sitting unmolested in the ammo case.

I had been putting off shooting .22lr (saving what I have for my kids) due to higher prices, though I was buying it online when a deal came up. Long gone were the days of dropping by Walmart to buy a box or two of bulk .22lr before going to the range ... could those days have returned, albeit with higher prices?

The bottom fell out of the speculator/flipper market a long time ago. Plinker .22LR has been plentiful and cheap for quite a while now. Like 4 -5 cents a round cheap.

      Stock up, I did.

Flipping is dead. 22 LR is half the price is was during the shortage.

.22lr ammo is pretty much everywhere and at reasonable price. Been having real good shooting with Aguila SE/HV 40gr. No complaints. Glad to see .22 ammo back on the shelves again.

No one has enough money to stock up on quality ammo when supplies are up and price s are down.

But these same people have enough money to buy high priced 3rd world crud ammo when supply is limited, for what ever reason. Flippers have enough cash on hand to alter supply. Yeah, right.

I love how everyone is calling Prepper whack jobs "Flippers"

there were people taking advantage of a bad situation but there was also heavy prepper activity stock piling ammo for the new revolution.

There were jerks that would buy up all the .22 when it came off the truck and then try to sell the rounds ten to a sandwich bag

I think I made out . Went to gun show at SF and bought another 1000
but really did not pay attention to cost .
A couple pounds of CFE pistol , 500 30 cal pills ,100 50 cal for the DE and
                    500 8's .
Anyway , while we were there niece came by , put 20 in ammo jar and
took a box of 500 22 lr and went hiking / camping .
I think she got some 9's also , will find out if MT cases come back .

How many rounds of ammo do you need to have stored before you are considered, "that crazy gun nut guy"?

22LR was pretty much unlimited around Christmas....

with CA going Offline for ammo buys, inventory gluts have crushed prices around the US
